Turkish Coffee

Ingredients

  • 3 tsp Turkish coffee very finely ground
  • 180 ml/6 fl oz water
  • 1 tsp sugar optional

Instructions

  • Mix the ground coffee, water, and sugar in a coffee pot (cezve). Then put the cezve on low heat. Allow time for it to cook slowly, but keep an eye out, as the coffee may overflow shortly after simmering.
  • Coffee will be froth up on top just before it simmers. Using a spoon, divide these froth into small cups (fincan).
  • When the coffee is simmering, it's time to serve. Pour the coffee from the cezve into the fincans.
  • Serve with Turkish Delight or chocolate.
