- 1.5 pounds ground beef
- 1 cup fresh parsley finely chopped
- 1 white onion chopped
- 1 tsp Baharat or allspice
- ½ tsp cumin powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 6 pita breads
In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients, except pita bread and olive oil.
Cut each pita bread in half and fill it with seasoned ground beef.
Now, brush it with olive oil on both sides of the pita bread. Add cheese here if you are using it.
Using a large pan, heat it over medium heat and fry the pita with ground beef filling. Cook it for 2-4 minutes on each side until the ground beef is cooked.
Let cool for a minute and serve right away. Enjoy!
