Ingredients

  • 1 pre-made 9-inch chocolate cookie pie crust
  • 1 ½ cups heavy whipping cream
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate chopped
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • Optional: whipped cream and chocolate shavings for garnish

Instructions

  • Whip heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
  • Melt semi-sweet chocolate and unsalted butter over low heat, stirring frequently. Cool for 5 minutes.
  • Fold cooled chocolate mixture into whipped cream gently with a spatula.
  • Pour chocolate mousse into pie crust, spreading evenly.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until firm.
  • Garnish with whipped cream and chocolate shavings, if desired, and serve.
