- 1 pre-made 9-inch chocolate cookie pie crust
- 1 ½ cups heavy whipping cream
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate chopped
- ¼ cup unsalted butter
- Optional: whipped cream and chocolate shavings for garnish
Whip heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
Melt semi-sweet chocolate and unsalted butter over low heat, stirring frequently. Cool for 5 minutes.
Fold cooled chocolate mixture into whipped cream gently with a spatula.
Pour chocolate mousse into pie crust, spreading evenly.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until firm.
Garnish with whipped cream and chocolate shavings, if desired, and serve.
