Spring Rolls (Turon with Langka)

- 6 ripe bananas halved lengthwise
- 1 cup ripe jackfruit thinly sliced
- 12 spring roll wrappers
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup water
- 1 cup vegetable oil for frying
Cut bananas and jackfruit into appropriate sizes.
Place a banana half and jackfruit strips on a spring roll wrapper. Fold and roll tightly, sealing with water.
In a saucepan, combine brown sugar and water. Cook until sugar dissolves and mixture thickens. Set aside.
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan. Fry spring rolls seam side down for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Drain excess oil on paper towels.
Brush hot spring rolls with sugar syrup.
Serve warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream.
